See what happens when I don’t feed the blog for two weeks? The country goes to hell in a hand basket, social distancing went out the window with all the riots and looting, the Democratic mayor of Seattle is allowing her city to be taken over by anarchists, the cancel culture is removing statues, corporate CEOs, movies, and TV shows they don’t deem acceptable, you have another Democratic-run city police force kill another unarmed black man, and everyone (of course) is going to blame President Trump for it. It’s too much for just one blog post.
So I won’t bother.
Instead, let’s keep this weekend’s post simple. Lemme ask y’all a question: what do the following cities have in common?
Atlanta
Baltimore
Chicago
Milwaukee
Minneapolis
New York City
Philadelphia
Portland
San Francisco
Seattle
St. Louis
All are Democratic-run cities with a questionable record of care and support for the primarily African-American populations that reside in them. For the past two weeks, all you have heard is the outcry over police tactics and brutality on the cable news and mainstream news outlets, but nary a peep about the political affiliations of those who overseer these cities. My question is: when will Democrats be held accountable for the mayhem and chaos within these cities? Forget, for a moment, about poor George Lloyd and Rayshard Brooks: how many young blacks are going to be killed by black-on-black violence this weekend in the above-mentioned cities? I guarantee none of their names will make it to the NBC Nightly News or any other prime-time news programs.
See? My problem is, and always will be, the blatant hypocrisy you find in spades (am I allowed to use that word?) in the current media coverage of everything that’s going on. As I’ve written about in this place numerous times over the years, the Democratic Party and liberals in both government and the media have done African-Americans no favors in the past sixty-odd years. Between the Great Society programs implemented by Lyndon Johnson (and yes, Richard Nixon), the overwhelmingly-disproportionate number of black babies aborted by Planned Parenthood, Democratic governors and mayors who are only concerned about rounding up black votes come election time, and the Democratic politicians in Washington who have no problem paying lip service to African-Americans with dopey political stunts but do diddly-squat in terms of real legislation. They’d much rather not let good crises go to waste by pushing agendas like open borders, unfettered illegal immigration, the “Green New Deal” and “defunding the police” that will end up doing both inner cities and the livelihoods of the unemployed and the working poor who live in them far more harm than good.
As I see it, the only way we’re going to get out of this mess is for meaningful police reform that can only come by turning out these crappy Democratic mayors concerned only with exploiting their populations and increasing their power. Preferably, you would replace them with Republicans running on a law and order agenda who won’t kow-tow to the mob and who will ensure all of their citizens – both black and non-black – are all treated with the same amount of respect and dignity.
You see, here at Goodboys Nation weblog, ALL LIVES MATTER. I don’t buy the dumb slogans of the ignorant and pampered snowflakes who haven’t got a clue about what true injustice means. If America is such a bad place full of racism and injustice, why are we having to build a wall on our southern border to keep those who want to come here out? Believe me, I’d be more than happy to pick out, say, 1,000 lily-white Antifa bullies from, say, Seattle and Portland and put them outside of the southern border and replace them with 1,00 men, women, and children from Central and South America willing to work hard and build new lives for themselves in the USA. I guarantee you those Antifa pussies will be crying for their mommies and longing for their basement bedrooms with the big-screen TV and gaming computers bought for them by their loser parents as quick as you can say, “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot”.
As far as Antifa is concerned, I think this is a good start. Follow the money and the financiers of the movement and it will dry up quickly.
One final question: how many of those social justice warriors destroying and removing Christopher Columbus statues will order chicken parm at the nearest Italian restaurant that is open and serving. Talk about your cultural appropriation!
When you say “here at Goodboys weblog” it gives the
impression that “Goodboys” mentioned in this blog support
the views written here. For the record, I don’t support any of the views and
opinions published within this forum
Thank you
Steve

Au contrere, Killa – nothing could be further from the truth. I’ve been blogging on this site since 2006. I blog as myself, as you can clearly see under “Site Info”. The fact is, I own this site and the domain associated with it. I pay my “rent” on an annual basis and have never asked anyone else to help me with that.
I have never claimed to speak for anyone else but me. I have never written anything or linked to anything I know to be a lie. You may not like or agree what I write or the spirit in which I write it, but I challenge anyone to put their facts in writing.
if you (or anyone else, for that matter) want to express your views in response to anything I have written you’re more than able to by commenting as you have just done. I respect your opinion but disagree completely with your assertion.
One final note: unlike the liberal and “progressive” left in this country, I not only welcome dissenting views on this blog but will also be happy to put them front and center. And in doing so, you won’t get physically threatened nor beaten, get fired from your job, have your TV series cancelled, have your property annexed by anarchists, nor even have a statue of you get torn down. Instead, I will be more than happy to publish dissenting views and engage in civil discourse as friends.
And it is in this spirit that I think you for your comment; it is duly noted.

I can not speak for the other cities you mention in your recent commentary but here in Seattle, where I live: a) the city has NOT BEEN TAKEN OVER BY ANARCHISTS…and b) does NOT HAVE A QUESTIONABLE HISTORY of care and support for the African American community. It DOES have a Democrat as Mayor and that is the only piece of Seattle info you have correct. The hypocrisy you (the Great White Shank) find in the media extends to the right, the center right and the extreme right….note the Fox News coverage of Seattle. Composite pictures that are not accurate or even current….in other words, lies. Last point: leave Steely Dan alone…they are a much better band than the Beach Boys

Well it’s good to hear from you, sir, and I’m glad to hear all is well. I stand by my comments. While you are 100% correct that you will find hypocrisy on both the so-called “left” and the so-called “right”, it’s the same left that believes as its creed tolerance, acceptance, and diversity is anything but.
While both ends of the political spectrum have their own share of wackos, it’s not conservatives who are demanding people lose their jobs or get publicly shamed by comments they might make in public and on social media. It’s not conservatives demanding that TV shows be cancelled. It’s not conservatives who shame others into taking a knee because of their so-called “white privilege”. It’s not conservatives who are demanding statues be taken down and/or tearing them down. And it’s not conservatives who are fracturing families and friendships simply over the support of one Donald John Trump, whose only fault in all of this was beating the most incompetent and arrogant candidate the Democrats ever put forward.
When Barack Obama was elected president you didn’t see conservatives taking a nutty and creating a non-stop “resistance” to his presidency. Sure, you had FOX News and folks like Rush Limbaugh but whatever influence they had resulted from being the sole outlets for conservatives in a media industry where everything else (I’m certain you will agree) leans politically left. And you didn’t see Republicans in Washington commence non-stop impeachment investigations into the Obamas; instead, while they may have had issues with the man personally, they treated his office with respect and dignity, and in a civil manner – something you seen rarely (if at all) in any way from Democrats these past few years.
Of course the biggest controversy in your post involves the never-ending debate over Steely Dan. A “much better band” than the Beach Boys? That’s subjective. Was SD technically more gifted? Absolutely – they were great players, whereas TBB (with the exception of Brian Wilson) were fair at best. If you’re going to talk influential as far as rock music history goes, the Boys’ place in rock history will always be greater than Steely Dan.
How many groups or songs have you ever heard on the radio (or, to use Joe Biden’s phrase “the record player”) and said to yourself, “ah, there’s a Steely Dan knock-off?”. The answer is none. But The Beach Boys (Brian Wilson, specifically) created a whole fantasy subculture around the beach and California that influenced dozens, if not hundreds or more, bands and recordings. Does that make them “better” than Steely Dan? To each his own.
(Interestingly, from looking at a number of web sites, I was surprised to find that two bands are THIS CLOSE in terms of total sales (at least US) – Steely Dan ~ 40 million and The Beach Boys ~ 42 million. But the Boys had a longer career and any number of reissues, so who knows? But it makes for a great topic of discussion over cocktails.
Make mine a Hemingway Daiquiri.
Thanks for your comment! We will always be able to disagree politically, just as we will always be family. Stay in touch!

While the term “anarchists have taken over Seattle” is a bit hyperbolic, ANTIFA has certainly been given free reign in Seattle over the past couple of years.
Riots (and there are no such thing as an ANTIFA “protests”) in 2019 on several occasions where police were instructed to stand down, and of course the latest where 6 blocks have been sealed off in a so-called “autonomous zone” certainly have provided a welcome mat for people advocating the violent overthrow of anything they do not agree with.
Add in where city officials have decided to negotiate the release of real estate and provide cement barriers to codify the violent takeover of public and private property, and you pretty much have a local administration in Seattle’s mayor which has issued an open season order on Seattle’s infrastructure.
Have you noticed that no one in Seattle is touting their 2019 tourism statistics? Wonder why that is …?
Bottom-line, Seattle is playing a dangerous game in providing this welcome mat for rioters, simply because they agree with a group’s political persuasion. Truckers are no longer going to deliver goods to any city where police cannot control rioters, and citizens are going to spend their tourism money elsewhere. If Seattle thinks they can continue to provide all the Socialist services they do with significantly less revenue – good luck with that.
