A bunch of stuff as we begin the slow slide towards Christmas.
The classical music station I listen to has upped their Christmas-related content to twice an hour and I’m already sick of listening to “The Nutcracker” and string quartet and brass Christmas carols. My mom’s passing this year has really taken the starch out of the season. It’s gonna be a hard three weeks…
While I don’t think I’m interested in this latest Amazon concept I can see how others would be. Since I’m at the local Fry’s at least three times a week I think I’d miss the socializing with the cashiers and baggers I see most frequently. Although, then again, watching the new bag kid today sack a large order one.item.at.a.time and creating a checkout logjam all by himself certainly make the concept worth considering.
If you don’t think – as Michael Savage has written – that liberalism is a mental disorder, this Hot Air post might convince you otherwise. I suppose if I were of a more charitable mind I would say something akin to feeling sorry for this woman, but I don’t. I frankly sick and tired of the Left’s moaning and groaning about Donald Trump. You didn’t see this kind of thing from conservatives after Barack Obama was elected. We didn’t like it, for sure, but the world didn’t end. As WRKO’s Howie Carr is wont to say about liberals, they’re agony is my joy.
Sorry, Joe, you had your chance this year. I know the death of your son was rough, but you’re a Beltway politician at heart, and, frankly, you allowed the DNC and the Clintons to bully and intimidate you out of the 2016 race. 2016 was your golden opportunity, and had you run you would have beaten Donald Trump handily. Now? It’s time to say goodnight…
I think the Tiger Woods we saw this week at his Hero World Challenge event is exactly what we can expect from him for the rest of his career: we’ll see stretches of brilliance that will see him win events – perhaps even a major if he were to catch lightning in a bottle and all the stars align – tempered by equal stretches of sloppiness. It’s one thing to somewhat compete over four days on a flat, wide open track like they played this past weekend; it’s a whole ‘nutha thing to play courses that are a tough walk and have real bona fide hazards. In my view, he’s still taking violent swings that are not going to do his back any good in the long run, but I’m guessing Tiger doesn’t plan on leaving anything in the bag when it comes to this final comeback. I won’t be rooting for him, but I wish him the best.
Man punches kangaroo. No, really.
I’d like to see one of the Goodboys try this!
On Tiger, I don’t think he will win another PGA event, let alone a major. Yes there is still talent there and he may compete at times. But he will always have that double bogey or that one bad round that will play on his mind and prevent him from finishing first. And I agree that the violent swing, while slightly modified, is still there. There are more injuries waiting in his not too distant future.
