Did you get your information from the cable news talking heads or the traditional mainstream media this past election cycle? You know, from the likes of, oh, CNN, NPR, MSNBC, FOX News, the Washington Post, the Boston Globe, or New York Times? This, ladies and gentlemen, is for you.

Or this.
Or this.

Talk about a bunch of clueless, out of touch elitists. And Trump was the one who was unhinged??

Will Rahn of CBS News nails it:

The mood in the Washington press corps is bleak, and deservedly so.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that, with a few exceptions, we were all tacitly or explicitly #WithHer, which has led to a certain anguish in the face of Donald Trump’s victory. More than that and more importantly, we also missed the story, after having spent months mocking the people who had a better sense of what was going on.

This is all symptomatic of modern journalism’s great moral and intellectual failing: its unbearable smugness. Had Hillary Clinton won, there’s be a winking “we did it” feeling in the press, a sense that we were brave and called Trump a liar and saved the republic.

So much for that. The audience for our glib analysis and contempt for much of the electorate, it turned out, was rather limited. This was particularly true when it came to voters, the ones who turned out by the millions to deliver not only a rebuke to the political system but also the people who cover it. Trump knew what he was doing when he invited his crowds to jeer and hiss the reporters covering him. They hate us, and have for some time.

And can you blame them? Journalists love mocking Trump supporters. We insult their appearances. We dismiss them as racists and sexists.

…Out on the road, we forget to ask the right questions. We can’t even imagine the right question. We go into assignments too certain that what we find will serve to justify our biases. The public’s estimation of the press declines even further — fewer than one-in-three Americans trust the press, per Gallup — which starts the cycle anew.

There’s a place for opinionated journalism; in fact, it’s vital. But our causal, profession-wide smugness and protestations of superiority are making us unable to do it well.

As they say, read the whole thing.

Not that I expect the mainstream media to change their condescending, elitist, chardonnay-swilling smugness anytime soon. And come a Trump administration you can bet there will be a hundred or more Woodward and Bernstein wannabes seeking to take down the Trump White House before it’s even allowed to get airborne.

But that’s what they do. they are, after all, liberals and progressives. Meaning, of course, they are enemies of the state and fascists looking to extinguish free speech couched in some fuzzy desire for so-called “acceptance”, “tolerance”, and “diversity”. Remember, these are the very same folks who deliberately sought out a small-town Indiana pizza shop to pick out the most ordinary Christians they could find in order to persecute them in a national forum as being homophobic for simply being true to their religious beliefs.

But this is what passes for the mainstream media these days; they are nothing but a bunch of vile snakes that are no friend to conservatives and the rights of Americans to free speech and expression. Only the latest case in point: the fact that the media absolutely creamed Trump for not saying explicitly that he would accept the results of the voting on November 8. Now you have had four nights of protests (some violent) by liberals and progressives unwilling to accept the will of the people on Tuesday. And while the media is more than happy to cover it (ecstatic, I would argue) you don’t hear a whole lot of criticism and pleading to have them stop.

Of course not.

Looking back, it truly is amazing just how much abuse was tossed at Donald Trump 24/7. It was everywhere. And yet, now that Trump, even with all the negative coverage and the massive voter fraud that will be uncovered in the months ahead (I guarantee it will be shown that without the fraud Trump would have won Virginia, Nevada, and New Hampshire, perhaps even Minnesota and New Mexico) Trump stands triumphant, and the cupcakes, morons, moonbats, and get-a-lifers filling the streets in protest recall a memorable Old Testament passage from Isaiah 47:7-15. When reading the below, remember the links above (especially those when it comes to that bit about the astrologers):

You said, ‘I am forever—
the eternal queen!’
But you did not consider these things
or reflect on what might happen.

“Now then, listen, you lover of pleasure,
lounging in your security
and saying to yourself,
‘I am, and there is none besides me.
I will never be a widow
or suffer the loss of children.’

Both of these will overtake you
in a moment, on a single day:
loss of children and widowhood.
They will come upon you in full measure,
in spite of your many sorceries
and all your potent spells.

You have trusted in your wickedness
and have said, ‘No one sees me.’
Your wisdom and knowledge mislead you
when you say to yourself,
‘I am, and there is none besides me.’

Disaster will come upon you,
and you will not know how to conjure it away.
A calamity will fall upon you
that you cannot ward off with a ransom;
a catastrophe you cannot foresee
will suddenly come upon you.

“Keep on, then, with your magic spells
and with your many sorceries,
which you have labored at since childhood.
Perhaps you will succeed,
perhaps you will cause terror.

All the counsel you have received has only worn you out!
Let your astrologers come forward,
those stargazers who make predictions month by month,
let them save you from what is coming upon you.

Surely they are like stubble;
the fire will burn them up.
They cannot even save themselves
from the power of the flame.
These are not coals for warmth;
this is not a fire to sit by.

That is all they are to you—
these you have dealt with
and labored with since childhood.
All of them go on in their error;
there is not one that can save you.

Sundance over at the Conservative Treehouse nails in more contemporary terms.

THE MEDIA DIDN’T GET IT WRONG – The pollsters did not work from the wrong data set; the media pollsters, consultants and professional political class did not work from the wrong assumptions, or use the incorrect baselines….. THEY LIED.

The professional media polling agents knew exactly what the truth was.

They lied and manipulated their data in a concerted effort to intentionally falsify reality. There should be no doubt, EVER, in the mind of any political observer as to what took place within the expressed and broadcasted polling which fueled over two years of broadcast news. The media intentionally lied.

They knew the truth. The same tools available to us, and to those who were ridiculed for truth-telling, were available to them and many more. They did not get it wrong. They chose to lie to you the American electorate. So lets name the liars so their names can forever be dispatched from the land where credibility is of value:

* FOX News, pollster Daron Shaw, Shaw Research and associates and the Wall Street Journal. Rupert Murdoch.
* NBC News, pollster Mark Murray, Hart Research and Associates.
* Monmouth University, pollster Patrick Murray.
* CBS News and New York Times writ large.
* ABC News and The Washington Post.
* CNN News Network and ORC Polling.
* Rasmussen and Reuters Polling Operations.
* [Ed. note: I’m adding Larry Sabato and his University of Virginia “Crystal Ball”]

These individuals along with every single corporate national media polling outlet, which in turn contributed to -and skewed- the larger aggregate of the Real Clear Politics average of polls, were complicit in their intent to deceive the American electorate in an ideological scheme to manipulate the psyche of the American voter.

There is not a single shred of credibility that should remain with any of the above mentioned polling entities.

They did not make mistakes; they did not operate from the wrong assumptions. These organizations, as part of the larger corporate objectives from those who fund their endeavors, lied. Allowing them to say they made a mistake is only dooming ourselves to the continued cycle of battered electorate syndrome.

These entities are our abusers. They have been gas-lighting the American electorate for years, and have been able to remain unchecked because no-one has ever called them to task before.

Throughout the last two years we have identified and exposed this corrupt endeavor while being ridiculed and marginalized at each undertaking. There should be no quarter provided and no amount of forgiveness ever offered.

The entire construct of their operational business model is corrupt from top to bottom. This moment in history should forever separate their influence from our national political discussion. PERIOD.

It’s not that what these pollsters did was inherently dishonest – they were just feeding the narrative that Hillary Clinton was going to win in a walk – it was just that the lazy mainstream media stopped at the headline and refused to do the work of digging into the numbers to see what they actually meant. Buried in the numbers and the splits by party affiliation (or lack thereof) the data was there that Hillary was in trouble; you just had a uncurious media unwilling to probe more deeply into the numbers. It was much more important in their eyes to push the narrative.

But don’t worry, all you devourers of the crap the mainstream media elitists feed you on a daily basis. As National Review Online’s Peter Kirsanow writes, your media is about to re-discover what “true journalism” is after spending the last eight years puffing up the Obamas:

Beginning as early as today, but definitely by January 20, 2017, the mainstream media will discover a host of problems, dangers, failures, troubles, mistakes, and catastrophes that somehow escaped their attention, or were considered unimportant, during the last eight years under Obama. For example, When jobs numbers come out, nothing less than 250,000 full-time jobs will be considered ”strong.”

A 4.9 percent unemployment rate will be considered almost as disastrous as the 4.2 percent rate under Bush in 2006.

“Real” unemployment will be adjusted once again by the labor force participation rate and will be found to be 9.5 percent, not 4.9 percent.

Crises in the Middle East will be attributed to American bellicosity and maladroit U.S. policy. When Iran acquires a nuclear weapon, it will be because of then-current foreign policy failures.

Adding even twelve cents to the current $20 trillion national debt will be “unpatriotic” and a fiscal catastrophe in the making.

The worst race relations in 50 years will have commenced with, and will be due to, Republican control of the White House and Congress.

Public outrage over health insurance will have commenced with, and will be due to, Republican failure to fix the health care system.

We will learn that 13 million more people than in, oh, 2008, have instantly descended into poverty.

Anything less than 3 percent growth in any quarter will be due to abysmal administration failures.

The Justice Department will be found to have been horribly politicized.

And to that I would add the following: 1) all forms of criticism of the government and the President – even if it turns violent – is the truest form of America’s right to expression; 2) the use of presidential executive orders in any form with be an affront to Congress and the Constitution, and 3) the plight of the homeless living in cardboard boxes and the heart-wrenching stories of their children living in squalor will be the subject of nightly exposes on PBS, NPR, and MSNBC. All as if the past eight years never existed.

Not only is it predictable, it’s entirely predictable. Because that’s what the elitist mainstream media does. Here’s hoping the Trump administration doesn’t forget how badly it was treated during this election cycle by the mainstream media and resists the urge to reach out to it in a gesture of good faith. All it will end up with is a bloody hand.
