It’s been a crazy week down here in the Valley of the Sun with the Waste Management Open and the Super Bowl. We’re truly at the center of the sports universe! The manager of a restaurant I was in yesterday said Bubba Watson and his wife came in on Thursday night – he said they were very nice and gracious. Driving through Scottsdale yesterday it was truly amazing to see all the people walking around dressed in all kinds of football shirts and colors. From my own estimate I’ll bet the ratio of Seahawks fans to Patriots fan is more than 7 to 1: not surprising since the Patriots are really hated here in the Phoenix area.
I doubt I’ll watch the game much – I’m not really a football fan and I can’t stand all the hullabaoo that goes along with it. It’s all nonsense – just play the game and let’s all move on to Groundhog Day. Besides, I’ve got a ton of laundry and work to do (not to mention starting our tax return prep), but I’ll go out on a limb with a prediction since everyone else and their mother around here has one. The general consensus seems to be a tight, fairly low-scoring game somewhere in the 23-20, 27-24 range, but not me. I’ll go bold and predict 35-14 Patriots.
Shank:
Your in all the action this week!
Like your score prediction. I see Tiger’s
back. But i’m not sure he made the cut?
Go Patriots!
