A few parting Christmas notes as the attention turns to the rolling year and whatever 2015 has in store for us.
The Christmas music festival on Newport, RI’s classical 95.9 WCRB was a joy to listen to; really filled the household with lovely and peaceful Christmas music. We just take for granted nowadays that you can just click on an internet link and hear music from anywhere in the world, but none of this would have been possible a dozen years ago. With live-streaming and downloads CDs seem as quaint as cassettes and LPs. Makes you wonder what’s in store technology-wise in the next decade.

I know I’ve never watched “A Christmas Story” without considering its “white privilege” and underlying racism.
