One of the great experiences of getting back home in the late fall is to take a walk in the woods. The air is so clean, so filled with the aroma of fallen leaves. The leaf-strewn path below you crunches as you walk, and everything is laid bare: what just a few months prior was a emerald green vista teeming with life and the sounds of bird calls is now a barren, leafless place where only the sounds of squirrels preparing for the long winter dart under a cover of fallen leaves.
Still, there are a few trees hanging on to their summer brilliance, and against the browns and grays of the season they stand out beautifully. I think this came out nice:
