I’m on my patio, the moon shines bright
I’m having a Sam Octoberfest late at night
The Red Sox won four to three
They were lucky to win that game, to me
After doing housework my back is wrenched
I think Shane Victorino needs to be benched
He swings at friggin’ everything and can’t hit the damned ball out of the infield. Same thing with Stephen Drew, why are they even in the damned lineup? They stink! OK, so maybe they were great during the regular season, but these are the playoffs and with the team one win away from going to the World Series this is no time to be sticking with veterans who couldn’t hit their way out of a wet paper bag. Put Xander Bogaerts at short and Daniel Nava in right field and sit those bums for a couple of games until they get healthy or at least their heads on right. Having automatic outs in the 2nd and 8th slots are killing us, and you can’t have that against good pitching, which is what they’re going to be seeing the next two games against the Tigers and whichever team (God willing) they play in the World Series. If I see another Shane Victorino strikeout or weak ground ball to the right side I think I’m gonna puke. If I can see it why can’t John Farrell – is he blind?
The night is quiet and all’s been said
Think it’s time to go to bed
The pitching for this post-season’s divisional series has been nothing short of amazing. Pitching has thoroughly dominated Cardinals-Dodgers. Shaping up to be a great World Series, regardless of who makes it. Hoping the Cards close out tonight so Wainwright will be on the mound for the opener in Boston or Detroit. GEAUX Cards. 🙂

Cards do it with a 9-0 pounding of the Dodgers. Against Kershaw, no less. Just like the Red Sox need to do in one of the last two games at Fenway, grind the pitcher down and make him throw a lot of pitches. Even the best pitchers in the game become vulnerable when you have him start throwing more than 20 pitches an inning. GO SOX!

Quality at-bats against great pitching is a must. Frustrating a pitcher wears him down mentally and physically. Kershaw wasn’t throwing all that bad but having great pitch after great pitch fouled off got to him. That said, nine runs was overkill. One would have been enough the way the Cards were pitching last night.
This Cards fan doesn’t care who wins the ALCS as long as it goes 7. 🙂 I think they match up better with Detroit than they do Boston but I think they can give the Sox a run for their money.

Oughta be a great World Series, Rob. I can see six games won with less than five runs total each game scored. The Cards’ bullpen is a match for Boston’s, I call it a toss-up.
