Apologies for the lack of posts this past week. I just figured if the federal government was gonna be shut down maybe I should follow suit since 1) between backyard work and “work” work the days have gotten away from me, and 2) I just haven’t been motivated to write about anything. I know there’s been a bunch of stuff going on, and I promise I’ll get to it in the days ahead, it just won’t be today.
My “I told you so” quote of the week:
“Whenever I’m asked what is the most manipulative and secretive administration I’ve covered, I always say it’s the one in office now,” Bob Schieffer, CBS News anchor and chief Washington correspondent, told me. “Every administration learns from the previous administration. They become more secretive and put tighter clamps on information. This administration exercises more control than George W. Bush’s did, and his before that.”
Hat tip: Hot Air. I’ve tried to tell y’all but you wouldn’t lesson. After all, this is an administration that spares no effort in closing off open-air monuments and national parks during a government “shutdown” but couldn’t bother to lift a finger when terrorists attacked our consulate in Benghazi.
