It’s gonna be just another hot and dusty weekend here, hope y’all have a great one. Just a few thoughts and observations…

Are the Red Sox for real? I’m gonna put a wait and see on that to see how they handle their upcoming 10-game West Coast swing. I will say this: they are a fun team to watch, and the schedule does look very favorable. I’d sure like to see a Jonathan Papelbon-type working out of the bullpen to close out games…

The employer mandate of Obamacare gets delayed a year. If the GOP was smart (which it isn’t) they’d force the issue on Democrats to explains why employers get another but individuals don’t. No one thinks about anything anymore as it relates to policy good or bad, it’s all about politics, and between President Obama and the Democrats and Republicans in Washington they’re destroying this country.

I guess I’m the only person in the country who could care less about the George Zimmerman trial.

That June jobs report doesn’t tell the real story about what’s really happening in the country. I think this statistic does, though…

And you think you have problems! I’ll bet they’re nothing like this.

I thought I was going to watch Gettysburg for my July 4 red / white / blue kinda television experience but I ended up watching the PBS series Liberty! The American Revolution instead. I really enjoy it and the way they tell the story of our nation’s struggle for independence.
