Nice Opening Day victory for the Red Sox today. Unfortunately, my week-long trial on DirecTV expired so I wasn’t able to take it in. Now if I want to watch the boys I’ll have to pony up $199.95 for the privilege. Something I gotta think about…
Finally got to catch Kill Bill, Vol. 2 on TV the other night and it was great. I never thought of Uma Thurman as much of an actress one way or the other, but after watching the two KB movies consider me a fan – she was great in both of them.
What’s most frightening about this MSNBC promo is just how brazen it is as far as the liberal left’s intentions are concerned. People call us conservatives cuckoo (and worse) for accusing them of being Socialists and Communists, but this is right out of the Hitler and Stalin playbook. The fact they feel so bold to reveal their true nature is astonishing. I’ll tell you this – if I had kids I’d work fifteen jobs to home school or private school just to keep them away from these sick parasites.
Frequent commenter Jana chastised me via e-mail for not giving sufficient props to the University of Louisville sports program. She writes:
Hey Big Kahuna
How about a nod to the U of L men’s and women’s basketball teams on your lil’ ole blog? U of L rocks sports right now…Football..Sugar Bowl champs, Soccer in final tournament game, baseball, awesome and now both basketball teams in the NCAA finals game. Hope you watch the game tonight and help cheer on the Cardinals and the women tomorrow night.
I am about to explode red and black all over the place.
Goooo CARDS!
Hard to picture Jana exploding in red and black (I don’t recall her wearing much mascara, and her hair is brown) but I get the picture – especially given the fact the men’s basketball team are NCAA men’s champs after a thrilling victory over Michigan. Now if the chicks can get the job done tonight maybe she will explode in red and black. Well done, Cards!
We had quite a windstorm blow through here today. It’s been a rough winter for the queen palms – all I can say is, they’d better have one heck of a growing spurt this summer before the monsoons get here or it’s gonna be one sad-looking backyard around here next spring.
Rest in peace, Margaret Thatcher. They don’t make them like you anymore.
And same to you, Annette Funicello – you were just a couple of years before my time but you were the stuff of lots of guys dreams back in the early ’60s.
Thank you and now bring home the double NCAA championship LADY CARDS.
for the record, my hair is bonde

Welcome to NCAA-ville, KY. This town is a bit nutty right now…two night of celebration if the ladies win tonight.
Sad that NCAA rules will not allow the school or others to pay for the men’s team to go to NOLA and cheer the ladies on. Rick is going to represent the team and as our newest Hall of Fame inductee…damn, it is good to be from Louisville this week
