It’s been a crazy year, to be sure. Tonight Tracey and I finished the long and difficult process of refinancing our 30-year mortgage down to a 15-year without much more added to our monthly mortgage payment. It was something we wanted to do before the New Year set in and I’m glad it’s all taken care of. We’ve got a lot of work to do debt-wise over the next ten months, but at least all the pieces have now fallen into place to enable us to be credit card debt free by October. Let’s hope we all last that long!

I did a refi a while back for 3.5%…as soon as I sell mom’s house, I am paying mine off so I have no mortgage payments when I retire.
Working toward debt free also.

We ended up with 3%, so we done good! Only $100 more a month payment for 15 years in stead of our old 5.5% for thirty years. One of the few smart things we’ve done financially!

I sync’d my new smart phone (iPhone5)….working on all the “it does this?” on my new blue ray dvd player and still loading music onto my new iPod which holds 40,000 songs…I am techie gizmo heaven.
I hope to have my house paid off by this year…then I can work on retirement and finally have time to come out and visit y’all.
