While I very rarely listen to nationally-syndicated Michael Savage’s show, maybe he was right when he wrote that liberalism was a mental disorder. Today’s examples courtesy of Vice-President Joe Biden, the gaffe machine that keeps on giving.
Example one. What else can you say?
Example two. You have to wonder how people can say this kind of stuff with a straight face. I mean, sure getting bin Laden was a well-planned and well-executed (and yes, even audacious) military exercise. But more so than compared with other military operations of the past? I’m thinking at the very least Pearl Harbor and D-Day. Those, my friends, were audacious operations. Biden’s comments make him sound like a freakin’ ignoramus. And no one calls him on it.
Example three. Not only does Biden’s comments do a disservice to FDR, who, facing not only the challenges of the Great Depression but a two-front world war, had a helluva lot more on his plate than Barack Obama ever could have. Biden’s comments illustrate not just an ignorance of history, but they show just how much of a party flack he is.
Why Barack Obama puts up with this kind of regular gradiose foolishness from his VP is beyond my comprehension. What’s truly frightening is not so much that the Vice-President, of all people, can make such ignorant and stupid comments on a regular basis, nor the fact that everyone just accepts the fact he’s just being Joe Biden and goes on their merry way. What’s truly frightening is that such a pompous, dim-witted clown is just a heartbeat away from being President of the United States. And that’s no April Fool’s joke.
