Lots of yakkin goin’ on in the Valley of the Sun about the winter storm to hit this area Saturday night into Sunday – word is, we might even get to see snow on the Superstition Mountains come Sunday afternoon. Think I’ll plan on celebrating by making a batch of Mai Tais. Here is the recipe I’ll be following:
1 oz. Mt. Gay Eclipse Rum
1 oz. Myers dark rum
3/4 oz. Orange Curacao
3/4 oz. lime juice
1/4 oz. Orgeat (almond) syrupShake and strain into a glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with whatever fruit you’d like.
Well, that’s how I’m making them. The rest of y’all are on your own. Whatever you do, avoid the temptation to make them too fruity.
