I’ve never seen much of Alec Baldwin on TV or in movies (although he’s in my #1 favorite scene in movie history), but I’ve always got the sense he was an arrogant schmuck. Turns out I was right.
The only thing I’ll say about Barack Obama’s incredibly disheartening and – yes, ugly – speech the other day in Texas Kansas is that now, beyond a shadow of a doubt, you can call him a socialist. He’s all in on government and public-sector unions and wealth redistribution. Actually, if you didn’t know who was doing the speaking and just read his speech you would have thought it was something delivered by Hugo Chavez or Fidel Castro.
…in one way this is a good thing: people now know who the real Barack Obama is and what he stands for. He’s doubling down on the class warfare angle, and I thing that’s a very dangerous card to play. Methinks the Obama presidency in 2012 is going to reap what they sow, making it a very ugly and dangerous year for this country.
Maybe it’s just me, but I think her lifestyle choices are starting to catch up to Lindsay Lohan. Not that I was ever much of a follower or a fan, but wasn’t it not so long ago that she was a fox? Hard to believe she’s only 25, but that’s what drugs will do that to you – my guess is she’s had a couple-two-three go arounds with the crystal meth. Very bad stuff.
Along those same lines. tell me this is a joke, right? I mean, give me a break, I can name at least two dozen women “hotter” than Jennifer Aniston (now that’s a post I’ll have to think about!). But it tells you something about the taste (or lack thereof) of those polled. The poll was obviously taken from the shallow end of the men’s gene pool.
The hiring of Bobby Valentine as manager isn’t going to tell me the Red Sox are serious about changing their tune until I hear the news that catcher Jason Varitek and pitcher Tim Wakefield are history. They provided great years of service to the team and played a huge role in their two World Series championships but time stops for no one, and it’s time for the Sox to turn the page.
Speaking of baseball, you gotta like what the Angels and the Marlins have done; they’ve changed the status quo and turned their respective leagues on their heads.
