Regardless of what happens in regards to the haggling over how best to increase the debt ceiling, the fact remains that the USA still has a major problem to deal with – government size and spending. Rather than me blather on, I leave it to Florida senator Marco Rubio to speak, as the liberals like to say, “truth to power”.
And how. This, me buckos, is worth watching from start to finish. If Senator Rubio isn’t on the 2012 ticket as a VP, whoever ends up getting nominated ought to have their heads examined.
As a self-defined “non-politico” (I don’t vote and that is my choice)…my observations are that we can bitch, cry, complain and beat on our chests all we want, but people will never be of one mind for the greater good. As a species, we are wired to be self-serving (and that is not always a bad thing). So, when others elect another self-serving member of the species to represent our needs/wants…guess what? It all goes back to their needs/wants/agendas/beliefs. As a therapist, when I am in session with a patient, it is never about me and what I think is best because it will make it easier on me. Power and greed are great motivators and people in politics these days are drunk and addicted to it…perhaps there needs to be a giant intervention in DC and they all need to go to Political Rehab.
I still have my machete at the ready to leave for PauPaua New Guinea at any moment to go live with the Mek tribe. Just need to be sure I can take the chicken in my carry on.

The TSA will not only take your chicken from you, they’ll fondle your private parts looking for possible eggs.
