The late, great Boston DJ Bill Marlowe often mentioned the lack of the above qualities when lamenting the times he came to live in during his later years. Today’s post is nothing more than a testimony to the same; can you imagine this same kind of thing happening these days? And ain’t that a great picture?

The writer is wrong about who appreciates kindness when they’re down. Everyone does, not just the lonely. That IS a great picture. Never was a Sinatra fan. Have read too many nasty stories about him. I’m more of a Dean Martin fan. 🙂

Now THERE was a guy with taste, class, and appreciation! Everyone loved Dean. “Mr. Martini” who was actually a teetotaler.
