As a follow-up to yesterday’s post, turns out just last week these very same Wisconsin public service union protesters that disrupted a Special Olympics rally were so loud and obnoxious that they forced early cancellation of a Red Cross blood drive at the Capitol building. What a bunch of pathetic losers.
What we’re seeing in Wisconsin these days is not just your garden-variety protests by public sector unions; it is mob rule of the worst kind. Also a turning point, I believe, in the American labor movement. What these Wisconsin labor unions are showing the rest of this country is their gross self-centeredness and sense of entitlement after years and years of states and municipalities kow-towing to their every demand – demands that no matter how far they go, are never enough to satify these blood-sucking low-life parasites.
Me? I’d throw all these clowns in jail at the very first sight of them preventing unfettered access and disrupting the state’s ability to do its business. Believe me, I’m all for free speech and support the very concept of civil disobedience. But free speech also comes with it a obligation for civil discourse; clearly, these despicable creeps need to be taught a lesson about what that means in a free society. It’s all well and good to protest, but don’t these jerks understand that disrupting events like Special Olympics rallies and blood drives to publicize their grievances does their cause more harm than good? Or maybe they don’t care. Or maybe that’s the whole idea – to show they can flex their muscles whenever they want to give other mobs in other states the confidence to do the very same thing.
Methinks there would be plenty of opportunity for free speech in the Madison state police lockup. Perhaps it’s time Governor Scott Walker taught these folks a lesson or two.
To me this is all very distressing. I see this us heading quite quickly towards a tipping point in our country’s history, both economic and civil. You cannot have a free society where mob rule is allowed to reign unfettered, and it’s time Wisconsin gets a little tougher on these creeps who seek to change the concept of what a free and civil society is all about.
