umpire Sure, the 2011 baseball season is already underway, but it’s not really underway until the Red Sox get started. And what would Opening Day be without predictions? Here are mine, let’s see how they turn out at the end since I’m going out on a limb here, as you will see…

AMERICAN LEAGUE

East: Red Sox, Rays, Yankees, Blue Jays and Orioles (tied)
Central: Twins, White Sox (wild card), Tigers, Royals, Indians
West: Athletics, Rangers, Angels, Mariners

Divisional Series:

Red Sox over White Sox
Twins over Athletics

ALCS:

Red Sox over Twins

NATIONAL LEAGUE

East: Phillies, Braves, Marlins, Nationals, Mets
Central: Reds, Brewers (wild card), Cardinals, Cubs, Pirates, Astros
West: Rockies, Giants, Padres, Dodgers, Diamondbacks

Divisional Series:

Phillies over Brewers
Reds over Rockies

NLCS:

Rockies over Phillies

WORLD SERIES:

Red Sox over Rockies in 6
