Saw a lot of the Oscars on Sunday night. Like many, I wasn’t impressed. It was all too staged, too phony, and too near uncomfortable watching trained actors unable to read cue cards convincingly. I sure miss the days of Billy Crystal. Besides, I like good movies, like this great scene from 1973’s “The Sting”. Movies – and acting – seldom get better than this.

Indeed. They stopped giving them out when the UPS shippings costs went too high. Think that was back in 1976…
