I'm very pleased to hear anytime when someone find their spiritual center in something that brings joy, peace and happiness. It may not be Catholic or even Christian in nature, but I believe where inner peace, happiness, and an awe-inspiring awareness of God's creation lies the Holy Spirt isn't far behind. It's a wonderful journey you are on. Yep, read “Bury My Heart” in high school and will never forget it. I’m very pleased to hear anytime when someone find their spiritual center in something that brings joy, peace and happiness. I had to put on my "lights" this morning...my light flannel jammie bottoms. Had windows open all night and it is unseasonably cool that past few days/nights...damn perfection. You will do great with the upcoming surgery...sending up prayers to Creator for you and will make prayer ties. As you have found your spiritual home in Catholicism, I have found mine in the Lakota Lodge and Native American spirituality...peace I have found peace there. I also have a more acute awareness of the plight of the Native people in this country...on Facebook there is a statement about illegal immigration, the Native Americans called it White People. But don't get me started on this...Have you read Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee? GET IT...or Fools Crow? GET IT.
