Seems as the summer goes on it just keeps getting hotter here in the Valley of the Sun. Brutal.
We’re less than a month away from our New Orleans vacation, and I’m starting to get excited. Want to know anything and everything going on in Louisiana? Sure you could check out Rob’s blog (and you should), I’ve also added a cool new link to my blogroll - the Bayou Buzz!
Speaking of Louisiana, over at CrabAppleLane, Rob’s recalling his Katrina memories of four years ago. Hard to believe it’s already been that long - time is moving so fast nowadays.
Y’now, one would think that after the gross negligence and incompetence displayed by the federal government during the Katrina event Washington would figure out a way to be more sensitive to do the people’s more efficiently and cost-effectively. But….
If this video doesn’t serve as poster-child to the wanton incompetence and recklessness of Washington in regards to this country’s financial stability and future, nothing will.
And to think - these are the people pushing to be put in charge of our nation’s health care? Unbelievable.
I know you will have a wonderful time in New Orleans. How about autumn in Kentucky???? I have a new kitten, Lily (sent you pictures via email…did you get them?) and she is running the household. Andrew is liking her more each day. Willy wants me to put “it” back where I got it. He is going to be tough one to win over. However, she is the most adorable, sweetest and easy going 6 week old baby EVER.

Got the pictures, Jana. She’s a real beauty. Nothing like a new kitten (or rabbit(s) to turn a household upside down. Congratulations to Lily and to you, that’s one kitty cat that grabbed the gold ring!

Lily is one amazing little kitten…comes to the sound of my voice when I call her name…fearless in approaching Andrew (who seems to like her)…terrified of Willy who becomes a snarling, hissing,grumpy old man. She is great traveling to and from work…and knows no “off limits” within the bedroom. Not allowed to roam about as she is too small and could get “lost”. I believe she has the potential to be a “Mensa kitty”. And the personality…well, she has given cute a whole new definition. I am gobsmacked over her.
