FAA employees called in to help out the “Cash For Clunkers” program? Brought to you by the same people now pushing for government-run health care.
Tim Wakefield replacing Brad Penny in the Red Sox rotation? I think my mom will be happy to see that. Watching Penny pitch this year has been painful. A straight-as-an-arrow fastball and no reliable offspeed out pitch. He might be better suited for a National League team where the lineups 1-9 are not so stocked.
A quid-pro-quo? If so, that would be pretty reprehensible.
A slippery slope we should be trying to avoid at all costs?
What goes around comes around, eh, Speaker Pelosi?
A new revolutionary movement in political speech and action? Her so-called “death panels” post changed the conversation about the Democrats’ proposed government-run health care reform, perhaps permanently. Now she’s pushing for tort reform as a viable component of any health-care reform effort, and rightly pointing out the Obama administration’s utter hypocrisy for financially supporting Brazil’s offshore oil drilling while refusing to support it here. The mainstream dino-media may (and will) scorn her, but she’s clearly found her voice in a medium that suits her purposes. Trust me, she is only going to get bigger, and people who underestimate her politically do so at their own peril.
