Since I promised my dear friend Pete I would try and do a better job of blogging more frequently, I dedicate this post to him. After all, where else could you go to find the following:
A bunny born with two noses. Typical for the “top-notch” reporting we’ve come to expect from the AP, they don’t even say what sex it is. Sigh.
Less than a week to go before the baseball season starts. Only Bud Selig’s Major League Baseball scheduling dolts would have the Boston Red Sox playing the Tampa Bay Rays on April 6th – in Boston! Now tell me that makes sense.
An interesting piece about the vanishing shopping mall. I’ve said it before and will again: by 2020 shopping malls will be a thing of the past, replaced by Internet commerce and something that has already been conceived but not yet in the public’s consciousness. Don’t know exactly what that might be, but you can bet some enterprising entrepreneur out there has already mapped out his plan for success.
If someone like Penn Jillette can see things this clearly, why can’t the Obamabots in the mainstream dino-media?
Obama tells us that we can spend our way out of debt. He tells us that even though the government had control over the banks and did nothing to stop the bad that’s going on, if we give them more control over more other bank-like things, then they can make sure bad stuff doesn’t happen ever again. He says we can get out of all those big wars President Bush caused by sending more troops into Afghanistan. And I don’t know. I really don’t know.
Oh, I forgot, they’re too busy doing all they can to mask the fact this guy doesn’t have a clue as to what he’s doing. George W. Bush might have been totally incompetent, but Barack Obama is dangerous. Oh, I’m sorry – I forgot Barack can do no wrong, only his Teleprompter can.
What did you do during Earth Hour 2009? You know what I did? I turned on every damned light in the house, ran both televisions and my A/C, cooked a roast in the oven, used my icemaker for cocktails, and chose the hour to top off my pool and vacuum the house (and Little Half-Pint). And felt damned good about it. Can’t go wasting good electricity…
GWS,
I just knew that you wouldn’t let me down…
Thanks,
Pete
