…the world DID used to be a lot less uptight.

And, I might add, the entertainment world used to be a lot more interesting, charismatic, and funny. All I can say is, I liked the world I grew up in – maybe it wasn’t all roses for everyone (and it sure wasn’t), but dammit, at least it seemed a lot nicer, more positive, and a lot less angry. Me, I’m tired of all the anger and the bickering, and immediately turn the channel whenever I see it. And I think a lot of people feel the same way this election year.

Isn’t it strange how we as a country are far more prosperous than we ever have been, and have a lot more in terms of access to opportunity and possessions; yet it seems a far angrier place than it was when people had and got by with less?

And don’t think there isn’t a spiritual and religious connection there.
