This weekend we welcomed a brand new rabbit into the house, “Cosmo” (short for Mr. Cosmopolitan). Cosmo comes to us from the Brambley Hedge Rabbit Rescue in Phoenix, Arizona. Here’s what the Brambley Hedge people had to say about Cosmo:

“[Cosmo] came to us all the way from the Yuma Humane Society and we are really glad he did! Everyone loves this sweet, gentle friendly boy. He is interested in everything around him and absolutely loves it when people come up to his cage to talk to him. His helicopter ears seem to have minds of their own and he looks quite adorable when they are laying flat pointing in opposite directions! He is a sweet, wonderful, friendly guy and would make an excellent first rabbit.”

I will also add that Mr. Cosmopolitan is quite the climber and has an almost rat-like, extended nose different from all the other rabbits we’ve had. I wanted to name him “Lab Rat”, but was voted down. Cosmo brings a youthful vitality into the house, and we’re glad to have him. Who knows, some day he may even post his own entry up here, just as The Big Nipper (R.I.P.) and She’sJustALittleHalfPint have in days past. Welcome aboard, Cosmo – may your stay be long and happy!
