Good stuff, GWS. Having been in the south my entire life, I like to think I’d remember the snow balls and sleigh bells over the shovels and snow plows, too.

Now that we have forsaken New England for Florida during the winter months, I have to honestly say I don’t miss snow and winter at all — however I did really enjoy your piece. I wouldn’t have missed it for the world (the winters past, that is) but I really don’t miss them now. The old bones couldn’t take the cold. Love and Kisses, Auntie Marge

Have to compliment you on your beautifully written piece regarding snow. Nostalgia is a wonderful feeling. You will find that the older you get, the more often your thoughts return to earlier days, not so much longing for them, but enjoying having experienced them, good or bad. Love from your Mom

Very nice writing, Doug. You need to add a plot and expand it to a short story. The detective genre would work well……
