It’s Friday night and the temperature is still 103 degrees after a whopping 111 day complete with humidity (!) and a dust storm that made this little neck of the desert look like a seen from “Forbidden Planet“. The rabbits are vegging out, and I’m about ready to leave for a Las Vegas business trip in the morning. A perfect time to see “whazzup” with a few of my Blogroll friends…
At And Rightly So, they’re rewriting the Constitution for those post-modernists who have a warped sense of what entitlement in America doesn’tmean. I couldn’t agree more. It’s a good thing their intended audience wasn’t the French!
There’s always something good happening at Flight Pundit. Here’s a great post about the hard, dirty work Marines are called upon to do. Worth remembering amidst the Haditha charges that the mainstream media can’t get enough of in their anti-war, anti-military obsession.
Over at MDV Outlook, Mike is talking up the same theme l was trying to get at yesterday – the mainstream media’s inability or unwillingness to balance their negativity with positive news about the real progress being made by Iraqis under circumstances that, frankly, you or I would cower in our bathtubs over.
A similar theme is struck over at The Wide Awakes – in this case, the target is John Murtha, Democratic representative and “wonder boy” of the mainstream media, who never seems to have a good thing to say about our troops and their work in Iraq. Why the MSM uses him as the so-called “veteran’s voice” is beyond me – the guy is older than dirt. Maybe the MSM has a hard time finding a veteran with the same sentiments from a generation after Vietnam. Hmmm…
A quick word about the folks who host this blog, Blogs About Hosting. Goodboys Nation was being increasingly inundated with spam comments over the past few weeks, and with the assistance of Lisa at BAH a new version of WordPress and some anti-spam plug-ins have made this site a pleasure to administer once again. If you or anyone you know of are interested in blogging but want their own vehicle to do so, I don’t think you can do better than these folks. Just click on the e. Webscapes icon on the sidebar if you’re looking for a good blog design and hosting package.
FYI, in addition to holding the fort here at Goodboys Nation, I’ll also be guest-blogging over at CrabAppleLane Blog for the next week. I hope you’ll stop by and see what I and Rob’s other guest bloggers have to offer. Rob’s a pretty tough act to follow but The Great White Shank will try to do his best!
Well, you started off quite well. Thanks for lending a voice, GWS.
