OK, so the rodent has his big day and announces six more weeks of winter. Out here, that just means six more weeks of pollution alerts, dust, more sun, and increasing heat. Elsewhere however, it is a big thing, so, in appreciation of all things groundhog, I found this.

Shows you how good a rodent can be at prognosticating. Here in Georgia, we have the South’s version of Puxatawney Phil; General Lee.
General Lee gets his butt dragged out of his southern mansion (really! His own southern-style mansion) every Feb 2nd, ornery as all get out, and promptly surrenders to the North! 🙂
General Lee predicted a short winter, and not one week later, we’re due for the first snow of the season tomorrow morning!
Never, never trust a rodent to predict the weather.
